Preparing To Sell

Improve your homes kerb appeal!  When presenting your property for sale it is always important to make sure you are giving the best first impression.  Consider painting your front door, sweep away any leaves, mow the lawn and make sure your garden looks neat and tidy to give the best impression possible.

De-clutter wherever possible, not only will this help when it’s time to move but will give the best impression possible and attract maximum interest.

Viewings

It is usually best to let your estate agent show buyers around whilst you are out.  This will make the buyer feel more comfortable and they can have an open discussion about your house without fear of causing offence.  They will be able to take their time looking around and imagining themselves living in your home.

Avoid smoking and strong cooking smells prior to viewings, also if you have any pets it can be worth keeping them (and their litter trays) well out of the way whilst preparing your house for sale and during viewings.

Ensuring a Smooth Sale

Once you have agreed an offer you will need to make sure you have instructed your solicitor to carry out your conveyancing.  Your solicitor will carry out the necessary searches, collate legal paperwork, organise required checks, prepare documents, register the property and guide you through the entire process.  A smooth move is easier to achieve with the use of professional conveyancing services and this applies whether you are buying or selling a property.
